A monarch butterfly visited our garden today and I snapped a picture before it flew away.
The Green Reaper
In case you thought Mark didn’t have enough odd hobbies, he’s begun scything the yard. He bought it as a joke but now he really likes it.
Humming bird encounter
Today I revived an ailing humming bird by giving it a drink of sugar water. It sat calmly in my hand while it drank. I felt like a Disney princess.
Cauldron gardening
I used an old cracked cauldron as an herb garden for our backyard.
Garden view
Things are finally starting to warm up around here and we can get the windows open. This has attracted some interest from the residents.
Tree heart
We had to cut down a maple tree in our yard because it was sick and hollow inside, but quite lovely all the same.
Townhomestead turns Homestead
We have leveled up from townhomers to home owners! Our townhouse has been replaced by a piece of real American suburbia, an actual, stand alone, real back yard sort of house! We’ll keep the Townhomestead name but you should know it’s a bit of a misnomer these days.
Cubical upgrade
Added some color to my work cube by adding maple wood contact paper to the cabinets and teal wrapping paper to the walls. Mark custom cut me some maple wood for the work surface.
